Fantastic!! Highlight of BDO, dirty growling pub rock at its best. Tex still maintains a high level of intesity and the band matches him blow for blow.

When will big day out stop with the old crustys?? A few years back i was forced to sit through Kraftwork to get to Underworld, today i had no excusem, i just couldnt be arsed moving.. But damn fellas.. they retired for a reason.. they are sooo dated. I was looking forward to them, as i keep hearing they Blew Nirvana off the stag in 92, i gotta say Nirvana must have been shit live if that was the case :p

Saw Beasts of Bourbon yesterday in Sydney and was absolutely blown away by the intensity, energy and authenticity of their performance, and especially Tex Perkins. Is there any other local frontman as good as this? The highlight of the day for me and a gig I'll always remember

da beasts are still the kings of dirty rock. anyone that says you can't rock past 30 is yet to live past 30. they gave an absolute lesson to so many so-called rock bands that are no more than pop with a distortion pedal. now all we need is the celibate rifles to get on a big day out bill to really show this city how great a band from the 80s can still be. long live da beasts!

I'll never know whether the Beasts were any good or not - the sound was turned up so f-ing loud it was physically painful. Literally. (And, no, I'm not some wimp, I've been going to gigs for longer than some of you have been alive...)

Beasts of Bourbon were unbelievable at Sydney BDO. They put soooo much into their performance and were the absolute highlight of the day. They made some of the other bands seem very boring in comparison (including Franz Ferdinand zzzzzzzzzzzz).

Sheer dirty, swampy, loud testosterone rock hitting you like a locomotive. Gig of the day(Perth BDO). Even better than 1997 .
