
Flickerfest 2008
Flickerfest, Australia's premiere Short Film Festival will celebrate its 17th year outdoors under the Bondi stars by screening a variety Australian and International short films, selected from over 1300 entries received.
Screening alongside Flickerfest’s Academy accredited short film competition are a number of special spotlights including ‘The Bold, The Brave and The Best - 30 years of Australian Animation’, curated by Academy Award® Nominee, Anthony Lucas. ‘Bad Girls’ - a funny and uplifting look at girls behaving badly on screen and a very special ‘Best of Cinema 16’ - A selection of standout global shorts many by now famous feature directors, curated by its founder (London based) Luke Morris, who will be coming to Australia to introduce the programme in Sydney.
In 2008 Flickerfest will also tour to seventeen venues nationally including all capital cities as well as regional areas as far yonder as Broome and Alice Springs including Bathurst and Noosa for the first time.
