Decoder Ring

Decoder Ring swing by the triple j tent
We've just rocked up after getting into Byron at 4.30 am after playing in Brisbane. So Splendour just begins for us - and a sweet start with a dash of Futureheads to kick off proceedings. They caned it.

Looking forward to more bands at a Festival than I can remember - today QOTSA, Mercury Rev, Dexter DJing and Scribe just to mix it up. We play at 6.00 tonight which going to be a blast - and after time to get blasted as we've being locked in the studio finishing our next album right until we left to tour. So it's R&R from then on and tomorrow is nuts - Interpol, Bloc Party, Caribou are our must sees.

Go Splendour your rock - more grass, less tarmac = good times ... x DR

Here's what you had to say about the Splendour in the Grass performance!

Al
I ditched my friends for this one... boy were they jealous when they caught the last track!

The visual projection was mind altering and suits their fantastic live presence. A sensory experience.

Anthony
Ive seen these guys before at homebake in 2003, and have wanted to see them again since. After the release of Somersault, the presence of Lenka has made a HUGE impact. Shes got a great voice. But the set was mind blowing. Thoroughly enjoyed it

These guys got my vote for the best band that I hadn't seen before Splendour. They were awesome, such rich music - who needs vocals. I'm running to buy their albums!!!

sally
