Willy Mason's set was a highlight of the weekend for me. Hopefully he won over a few more fans during the course of a really enjoyable and solid set of gorgeous songs. He's such a talented singer songwriter . . . hopefully his promoters will bring him out for another Australian tour soon

this was one of the more enjoyable sets for me over the festival, partially because i can remember it more clearly cos i was clearer headed. regardless, i keep wondering if ryan adams would still have done splendour if they asked him to play at 1pm sunday instead.

Willy Mason's set was pure loveliness. He delved into his older catalogue of tunes whilst also including the more radio-friendly songs from his lp, like oxygen and where the humans eat. Thoroughly enjoyed by all. However it was a pity that he had to play soooo early on sunday. More should have experienced this musical and lyrical talent. Also please give Ryan Adams a break.

he was a really sweet guy... he seemed pretty nervous at the start. but the crowd warmed up to him throughout the course of the set. It's good that splendour audiences are open to new and different things.

I love his album, but I must admit that altough I enjoyed his performance, it was lacking a little something. I think maybe he'd be better suited to a smaller indoor venue. My friends who hadn't really heard him before were very impressed with him though.
