BLUETECH
Living in Hawaii is classically trained musician Evan
who creates melodic, intelligent, electronic music. Bluetech's sound emerges from his custom-built Reaktor instruments and software based synthesisers, crossing genre borders equally at home on a chill out stage or dance floor. A pre-cursor to a forthcoming full length album, Evan has just released EP "Phoenix Rising" on the Somnia label.

MO'ICHI
From the underground clubland of Vancouver, Mo Ichi made her way to the music of Melbourne and has immersed herself in the underground scene here. Playing the sounds of electro-tek through to deep minimal and techno she has graced the decks at Brown Alley, KAPLUNK!, Meccanoid, Midsumma, The Palace, Honkytonks, The Prince of Wales, Earthdance, Soft, Tokyo 2007/08 (Minimal Tokyo) & Rainbow Serpent Festival.

ADAM SHERIDAN
This young 25 year old from Leeds has been steadily climbing the DJ ladder, winning the feet of crowds with his genre busting electronic sound. Releasing on Paul Van Dyks label Vandit has seen Adam'a poularity rise further, travelling the world to DJ. He has also set up his own label for his more creative projects called Sound Stage Music with it's releases making there way into top player DJ boxes everywhere. Voted in at 53 for the worlds top 100 DJ's for 2008, Adam's career only seems to be getting better. Check out his tribal to trance set here on Mix Up!

INLAND KNIGHTS
Laurence and Andy met in 1993 through their involvement Dj'ing with the legendary UK free party crew - Smokescreen.
Writing music together they formed the celebrated Drop music label in 1998 which now has 56 releases to its credit, and is renowned in the dance music community for the quality and consistency of its work. Adopting various guises to showcase different aspects of their sound, including Party Criminals, In House Alterations, Grand Theft Audio and Big Audio Spidermite, Toka project, Larry fives, Inland Knights have been responsible for most of the Drop catalogue. Celebrating 10 years of the label they've just released the special "Dust Til Dawn" 3 x cd album.

PHIL ASHER
One of the unsung heroes of British House, but by no means an underachiever, Phil Asher has been on the international DJing circuit for more than a decade.

A well respected producer as well as DJ, Phil has completed well in excess of 80 of his own productions, as well as innumerable remixes, all of which receiving high critical acclaim. From his first gig at London's first House club Delirium in 1991 (slipping on a record when Noel Watson went to the toilet) to more recent gigs at Garage City, Off Centre at 333, and Ministry of Sound in London and Angels of Love in Italy, Phil has played the length and breadth of the UK, as well as much of Europe. Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Portugal, France, Brazil, the Cτte D'azur, Japan, New- Zealand and Australia will all bare testament to Phil's prowess behind the turntables.

PAUL ABAD
Paul Abad is a dj, producer, promoter, visual artist and community activator based in south east queensland. He has been part of the local music scene since 1998 and is now a regular on the east coast circuit. Paul has played at the rainbow serpent festival, qld earthcore mainstage two years running, exodus, earthfreq, submerge, woodford folk festival, liquid architecture, west end festival and countless other festivals/parties. Tool of choice these days is laptop with Ableton live, ensuring a seamless and creative approach to mixing. The width of Paul's musical experience sees him playing everything from outdoor psychedelic parties to experimental/sound art gigs, from community festivals to warehouse breaks/hiphop nights. He is also the man behind Subterran events.

Our resident DJ'S for December are the Acid Jacks! Melbourne's electro miscreants Jackmaster Bing Bong & Honeysmack are ready to wreak havoc on your radio for the first hour of Mix up every Saturday night.

Following on it's 4 exclusive DJ mixes from the Tickled Pink crew.

It's all about techno and good music at Tickeld Pink and the all female DJ roster certainly deliver, creating a stir in the Melbourne clubland.

Started by the effervescent DANNI B she was joined by long time friend SASS and recruited NADINE and NUGGET to grace the decks as well.

Every month they get a favourite male DJ on the decks as "Flavour of the Month" hosting people like Mike Monday, Jamie from Infusion and Luke Chable.

Tickled Pink happens every 3rd Friday at La Di Da in Melbourne.

Miss Nine
From Model to DJ, young Kristen Schrot from Germany is now touring internationally within 4 years of getting behind the decks. Starting with a residency at Motion, she was quickly signed to Bullitt Bookings by Deep Dish - the reputable agency of A-list deejays such as Deep Dish, Nic Fanciulli, and Danny Howells. She is also the first lady to mix a compilation for Yoshitoshi recordings and recently completed another for the Armada label. Enjoy her exclusive set for Australia on Mix Up.

Collette
DJ Colette is one of the first DJs to add her operatically trained vocals to the records that she spins. Growing up in Chicago watching Derrick Carter and Mark Farina on the decks, the classically trained musician finally got behind the decks herself and blew people away with her freestyling lyrics. Part of the SuperJane crew of DJ's, Collette will has just released her first original artist album on Nettwerk Records.

Out of Sydney comes Marc Us who is best known for his soulful and house styles. His DJ skills see him playing across 3 decks with accapellas and effects. Playing regularly throughout Sydney you can catch Marc Us at The Argyle, Opera Bar, Hush@Trademark, Bank Hotel, The Columbian, Knowfoowl Nights@Tonic Lounge & Illawarra Hotel in Wollongong. He is also head DJ for The Soul Shepherds, which composes of an array of musicians on percussion, vocals, sax and keys.
